Laura Llewellyn Design

I love to make silver jewellery to be worn and enjoyed everyday.

Each piece is handmade individually at my studio in Hampshire.

From statement stone set cocktail rings to stud earrings, each piece is made to make you feel fabulous every time you wear it.

I am a self confessed magpie for sparkle and I love to search out beautiful gemstones to set in a contemporary way.

As well as the creating to sell on the website I also make to order.  Making things such as wedding rings and special gifts is such an honour. Head over to my bespoke page to see some of my previous work.

I am proud to be a member of the British Society of Jewellers and in 2020 I gained my Accrdited Jewellery Professional Diploma with the GIA.  I was thrilled to be chosen as a winner of Small Business Sunday by Theo Paphitis in August 2021.

About Laura

I started designing and making jewellery at college on an evening course whilest also studying for my Art and Design Foundation Degree, before going on to study Jewellery Design at university (Kent Institute of Art and Design). Since graduating in 2006 I have worked within the jewellery industry in a variety of roles including designing and making jewellery.

In 2016 I decided to set up my own business teaching jewellery making and Hampshire School of Jewellery was born.

Having always made jewellery for family and friends alongside my work, I set up Laura Llewellyn Design in Autumn 2017.

As a small business owner I design and make each and every piece completely from inception to final polish as well as managing the orders, marketing etc.

Outside of making jewellery I love to dance (ballroom and latin), bake sweet treats,  mix cocktails and I’m addicted to nail varnish (very impractical for a jeweller!)

My Ethos

Each piece of jewellery is made with care in my studio so you can be sure you are supporting an independent designer and maker.

Every item is made from either fine or sterling silver or on occasion gold. and platinum.  The gemstones I use are carefully selected.  All of the materials I use are carefully selected from responsible suppliers.

In the UK it is law to have a piece of jewellery hallmarked if it is over the minimum weight. For silver jewellery this is 7.8 grams and for gold 0.7 grams. Any piece of jewellery which is over these weights will be hallmarked at the London Assay Office with our hallmark LJG (the G is my maiden name initial!).

We support and work with Share a Star charity which is a cause very close to our hearts. We are proud to work with them on their Forever a Star project.
